Request a Collaborative Community

Start Collaborating on P6

Collaborative Communities are working groups of cooperators—formed by individuals or organizations—coming together around a shared interest, challenge, or opportunity. These are not formal cooperatives, federations, or apex bodies. Instead, they are flexible, mission-driven communities built to foster collaboration and deepen collective impact.

Create a Collaborative Community

Whether you’re addressing a sector-specific challenge, building a peer learning circle, or convening a thematic alliance—Collaborative Communities provide a space to connect, share, and act together.

Why Create a Collaborative Community?

Tackle Common Challenges: Bring together people who share similar goals or face similar obstacles.

Accelerate Innovation: Pool knowledge, tools, and experiences to spark creative solutions.

Strengthen the Cooperative Movement: Advance Principle 6 by building bridges between cooperators across regions, sectors, and sizes.

Who Can Start One?

Any individual cooperator, cooperative staff member, or allied organization that wants to convene others around a cooperative-aligned goal. Your community request will be reviewed by the Principle 6 team and you will be notified when your group has been approved and created. Please allow 5-7 days for this review process.
